I dont think there is a proper thread like this....for a boy who likes a girl, and him thinking about her, how to approach, thinking these are all the wonderful things about her...very simply put, the shoujo protagonist's role is reversed..No Shounens please!...and girl - guy are not to be childhood friends...

Some more examples would be nice...for a group of one shots, please mention story number or story name..and,only the guy's POV would be nice without knowing what the girl is thinking...until later chapters perhaps...

I know there are lots of older mangas around 10-20 years old like this but newer ones are preferable....

EDIT:-
Here I compile a list from your suggestions...

One shots - the ones with only the guy's POV

Sagashimono Story 5 Aoi Kami Hikouki
Quick witted boy
Joyful days?

Series

Kimi Shika Iranai
Kuragehime
Cyboy
Otomen
Ai ga Areba Ii Noda
Itoshi no Nina
Honey and Clover
Fruits basket
Aishiteruze Baby
Kimi wa pet

I suggest Quick Witted Boy, but it's a oneshot.

These also work:
Shibutani-kun Tomo no Kai
Otomen
Aishiteruze Baby (This one's really cute)

Otherwise, try this link.

Otomen

These are more along the lines of both parties' POV:
Fruits Basket
Nanairo Sekai -- all really lovely one-shots in my opinion
Kimi wa Pet
Hanatsukihime -- it's been a while, so I'm not sure how much the guy's POV is in here...

And Honey and Clover is just plain beautiful... but, I think you put this in your "unfinished" list (dropped maybe?) But give it a second try... I watched the anime first and it takes a while to warm up... plot develops by episode 3 I think.

edit: Oh yeah... there's also Princess Jellyfish... it's a cutesy shoujo/josei blend.

Ai ga Areba Ii Noda fits, but that's one of Ryou Ikuemi's old works (from the early '90s). Itoshi no Nina is a new series of hers; I can't say what direction it's going in though =/

Definitely NG Life. This manga's about how a dude who remembers his past as a person of ancient Rome before Mt. Vesuvius blew up copes with all his friends's reincarnations who don't remember anything about their past lives. Also, the hilarious point of this story is that his former wife, Selena, was reincarnated into the body of a boy.

Natsume Yuujinchou is a shoujo that is from a male's point of view, but there isn't any romance that I can see.... BUT I do recommend it.

Utahime is another shoujo manga with a male lead that I highly recommend. This manga's about how a boy must take on a role that is usually assigned to girls: the role of the song princess. The art is absolutely beautiful, and I would recommend reading all of Aki-sensei's works also. She usually draws male leads.

The first half of Usagi Drop is told from the male lead's point of view. However, no romance is seen until the viewpoint switches over to the girl's. It's a very cute manga.

Ludwig Kakumei is another manga that is from the male POV. This one does have romance, but it is mostly the women who want him rather than the other way around. Be warned, Kaori-sensei has a twisted sense of humor....

Rasetsu no Hana also definitely fits. It's the male lead of one of the mangaka's previous series, but now he pursues someone else. It has supernatural themes.

On a side note: Hanatsukihime is not told from Siva's POV. It is told entirely from the girl's POV. Also, I second Cyboy.

Thanks, Fareki! It's been so long, and now manga that I've read are becoming muddy in my mind. XO

Stroke Material is shoujo smut from the guy's POV. He's a womanizer who's met his match.

Uh, I'd say Fruits Basket is pretty much from Tohru's POV.

Try My Girl (SAHARA Mizu). It may be classified as seinen, but I don't think that means a lot. The author is famous for her shounen ai and shoujo works, and the series in question definitely reads like a shoujo - or rather, a josei manga.
