Hyakkiyakou Shou and Suna no Ue no Rakuen by Ima Ichiko.
I used to think that xxxHolic is the best in this genre until I read Hyakkiyakou Shou (and personally chapter 12 of Hyakkiyakou Shou leads me to believe that CLAMP also read this series. Kudos for Ima Ichiko for making it more satisfaying read).
First chapter of Suna no Ue no Rakuen is science-fiction, but the rest three are mystery/supernatural, the last chapter is particularly good (I believe it would make a good horror movie )

Dokebi Bride, it's a manwha actually, but it's very good.

Check this out then [m]Psycho Buster[/m], it's ur typical supernatural manga, the characters have like psychic ability and everything. Also look into Zero also falls along the line of supernatural power and stuff, great read this one, one of my fav.

Double Arts and Code Breaker also might fall under the category you like although it might not be a hundred percent fits with your description, it's still and enjoyable read oh... also check this one out too Psyren. It's quite new and has a lot of action in it .

If you're looking for shoujo manga that falls under that category then my suggestion is Rasetsu no Hana, Akaku Saku Koe, Ghost Only and Barairo My Honey. Enjoy
