Nothing much happens? Whatever. Every event that happens later is related to a real Italian event so probably a foreigner would not understand my absolute adoration of that manga. Still it remains a masterpiece to me. But I can hardly get how "nothing happens"

since characters are almost introduced in every volume and people start dying in every volume of the 2nd half of the story. You did read it until Enrica's, Jean and Jose's sister, death in the flashback? Because that's kind the focal point of all the manga
. There is also a big reference to
Monster in vol. 12 I believe, since Urasawa has been one of the most influential author on Yu Aida. It was a cliché but it was very nice for me seeing a masterpiece paying his tribute to another masterpiece.
