Hey peeps, I'm currently looking for a nice action manga with an invincible main char.
I'm just sick of main characters getting their ass (can I say ass here?) kicked and on the brink of death suddenly becoming stronger (Bleach) or taking a few months to do some training to get stronger (also Bleach, but most battle manga in general).
I want him to be so strong, no one (or at least very, very few. like, two people few) has a snowball's chance in hell of beating em.

so a few examples are:
Id from ID
Majeh from King of Hell
Layfon from Koukaku no Regios
Whatsis face from Aiki
Alucard from Hellsing

So let's hear it.

Just to make sure, please no yaoi, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, yuri or overly shoujo-ish shoujos and no josei except reall good ones. Although I doubt any of those genres have stories that meet the above terms.

I'll try all of em, except Riki-oh. I tried it a year or so back, it never really grabbed me.
and I completely forgot about Zushio, read first 2 volumes but stuff got in the way.

the main character of beelzebub fits ur description perfectly.

Akabara Strauss from Vampire Juujikai though he plays it very cool.
Kazuma from Kaze no Stigma (light novel)
Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji
Shuuichi and MO from Zero though Shuu does hide his power.
Jio from 666 Satan (not too sure about this since it's been an age since I read it but from what I remember he's pretty invicible)
Blood from Koori no Mamono no Monogatari

thanks for all your recomendations, I read pretty much each one mentioned, except for the shounen-ai one. (maybe I should have said I will reject any and all shounen-ai and the like)

You can try Ubel Blatt

And it hasn't an invincible main char but Ares is a quite different kind of shounen. The three main chars are quite badass and there isn't your tipical shounen scenario when the main char lose, become stronger, win, find a more powerful enemy, cycling again. You can try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

GTO not what ur looking for, but he is invincible.

Superior Seems to be what ur looking for. Its a great manga according to me.

Historie Porboly not what ur looking for, since he is smart, even if he have never lost a fight, if i rember right.

Rosario + Vampire The main is not inviciblr, but Moka is (or almost). Proboly not what ur looking for.

Change 123 Its based on fightning, however it is not the main whos practicly invincible. This is quite close to what ur looking for.

Mahou Tsukai Kurohime She is practicly invincible, but shes never at full power though. Kinda what ur looking for i think.

Shuto Heru Realy wierd ununderstandable manga according to me, but the main seems to be invincible.

Shina Dark Not a fighting based manga, He does not even fight. but he seems to be invincible. (however he is beatable). Proboly not what ur looking for.

Jack Frost He is invincible, however, the story is not good according to me, but i would say it is in ur direction.

Akaboshi - Ibun Suikoden Well, there are many more that are stonger them him, but he is also over the top. proboly not waht ur looking for.

You should put your lists public .

For less known manga I can suggest Kurogane (he's pratically indestructible) and Kurozuka (he can't die) but maybe you already know them.

And well I doubt you didn't already read this, but Lucy from Elfen Lied is another kick-ass char.
