I have to go top 5 cause I can't narrow it down anymore than that! These aren't really in order:
1.) Holyland
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1629
This is a really, reallllllllllllllllly good manga. Possibly my favorite.

2)Onepunch-man
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=80345
The BEST gag manga I've ever read. Probably my favorite comedy.

3)Baby Steps
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=16841
This series really just resonated with me. I'm at a lost to whether this manga or Holyland is my favorite "weak to strong" manga... but I also like The Breaker...

4)The Breaker (new waves included)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=27595
I was so obsessed with this for a while! I love the first one better than New Waves so far but New Waves is still good.

5) Escape (KYUUGOU)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=15003
This series is actually a oneshot but I loved it so much I read it over and over again. I don't know how to explain it though... I think different people read things different ways and to me this was not a simple abuse manga.

I think my favorite shounen manga is Immortal Rain, though I loved Fullmetal Alchemist as well. My favorite shoujo would probably be Tomodachi no Hanashi.

My top are pretty typical:
1. Naruto ---> I'm not lying when I say it changed my life
2. Bleach
3. Ao no exorcist ---> GREAT art and good story
4. D.Gray Man
5. Mint na bokura ---> One of the few shoujo I like. Art is good, story is funny and I like the main character (I don't usually like female manga characters).

Isn't Immortal Rain a shoujo manga?

I've answered this question some time ago (wow, it's been almost two years!) and now I have to post again, because my favorites changed a bit since last time. So, here's the updated list:

1. Kubera
2. Tower of God
3. One Piece
4. Skip Beat!
5. ...

Actually, I'm keeping it at only four, because those are the ones I really love right now. There's just nothing that really comes close to them for me right now. There aren't any updates from other mangas I'm anticipating as much as for those four.

Wow, this has got to be one of the most frequently-seen topics in anime/manga forums ever!
I'll answer it just the same, because I'm bored and I'm waiting for my room to cool down.
1. Hetalia: it's a quirky little thing that covers all those things that I love so much - WWII (and modern history overall), Germany, Britain, national flags, BL subplot, a whole bunch of nations, lovely artwork (doesn't look like it sometimes, but the artbook is gorgeous!), loads of comedy and tear-jerker moments.
2. Fullmetal Alchemist: the best action manga I've ever read. Wonderful plot with very lovable characters (even the antagonists are cute at times), funny yet serious all the same. The ending is rather disappointing IMO (a bit too much like Harry Potter's happy ending to me) but it's a fantastic read all the same. And it's actually finished too, take that N*ruto and Bl*ach!!!
3. Monster: it's classic, it's horror, it's adventure, it has a badass ending that gives me huge goosebumps. It's amazingly haunting and I just cannot recommend it enough!
4. Aria: it's not the type of story that I usually read (I don't go well with slice of life), but this is a real gem. So beautiful and serene and it is truly a slice-of-life manga, but every little thing is so artistically portrayed it is a joy to read every single chapter.
5. Tokyo Babylon: it's just one of those manga that you read once, feel so heart-broken you're afraid to read it again, but do so anyway because that is just how wonderfully angst it is. One of the top angst in my list, it's one of those with an unhappy ending too (well, it will be once you continue with X/1999) which is just so rare to see.

It is, but some might consider it as shounen. It's more like josei to me tough, ones like +C: sword and cornett. Since the material is shounen-ish, but is brought up in a shoujo-ish way. idk :/

1.) Hana no Namae
Age Gap, Dark Ambience ... what else is there more to say? This had the biggest impression on me. I wanted to reread it as soon as I finished it.

2.) Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou (Main story)
Student teacher relationship >.< and that intense feeling of trying to convoy your love ...

3.) Daisuki Datta yo, Sensei... (Only the first story)
The cold female lead, another student teacher relationship, and how simple it was (In a sense ...)

4.) Koi no Ori Mitsu no Kusari
Stockholm Syndrome, and a yaoi ... this was a nice fix for my warped tastes.

5a.) S no Kaikoroku 5b.)Puzzle (MORIE Satoshi) I can't decide between these two
a) It was truly delicious. The S&M wasn't too over the top, but enough to make it delicious.
b) I don't have words for this, heh.

It's funny because I do have some manga that I gave higher ratings, but I just love these 5 (*cough* six *cough*)

I may edit later to add my comment on these five ... sleepy right now.
Edit: I can't sleep so why not add my comments...

But a lot of my favourites are actually novels:

No. 6 (Novel)
Kill no More (Novel)
Eclipse Hunter (Novel)
No Hero (Novel)
