....well I don't know if this word exists but thats what i'm lookig for XD ...the best way to explain would be an example I think ^^ ...:
you read 5 diffrent stories in one day and before you go to bed you can't even remember 2 of the stories you read...the next day you have forgotten another one and one week later there is only one story left...but this story has somethig that'll make you remember it for a long time.

I want stories that are not ..."stock-yaoi" but somehow have something that makes you remember them...becaus I can't stand it anymore ..reading a story and then starting to read it again because you think you haven't read it yet and then checking your list just to notice you have allready read it...even if you can't remember a thing XD

I hope someone can help me ^^

Boys next door short but i could never forget the story. But since it´s a oneshot there aren´t much scenes sp they consider it as shounen-ai
Fake i think people tend to remember longer manga and the story sounds interesting
Love Mode like the second reason

Sakura-Gari - Epic and unforgettable.
Zankoku na Kami ga Shihaisuru - Masterpiece, don't pass this one up.
Little Butterfly - My all time favorite.
Seven Days - My second all time favorite LOL.
Complex - Long. Really frustrating at times but it's what makes it good.
Let Dai Long. Very interesting story. Memorable.
Junjou Romantica - My very first yaoi!
Gravitation - My second.
Loveless - My third LOL.
Abiru Junjou - Was really sweet and touching when I read it the first time but kinda lost that when I reread it. That's usually for most series for me so I don't tend to reread.
Darling - Another favorite. Again, lost the same feel when I reread...
Yatteraneeze! - Frustrating lead. But good development and a very memorable read.
Rules - A great read.
Doukyuusei (NAKAMURA Asumiko) - Something about this sweet story made it quite memorable for me.
Sakende Yaruze! - Not exactly a masterpiece or a very touching story but I found it somewhat memorable.
Bukiyou na Silent - Sweet. One of my first yaoi.
Koisuru Boukun - I think I just like this authors work overall. Cute read, not the most memorable compared to others.
Only the Ring Finger Knows - Good story. Somewhat memorable. Might just be because of the title though LOL.
Maniac ni Aishite - Not that great. Probably remember it cause it was one of my first yaoi.
Erotikku ni Oborero! - Again, not exactly great but I remember it because it was one of my first reads.
I Want to Become Your Bird, Under Grand Hotel, and Cut - Overrated, mediocre. But remember it cause people keep mentioning it.

i just read complex which was recommended by many persons here. It´s great but i cried so much at the end. Different from normal yaoi it´s plot is eternal love. And eternal means over many many many years. But i think, i won´t forget this manga. I also recommend it

Well, I cried very much as well, but I do not want people to be misled by it. The ending is not tragicaI , but just bitter sweet

yeah it is happy ending, but it is still sad. I don´t think there is a manga with a happier ending

you're right !! I really loved this story and maybe also cried a bit...but i think i'll never forget it! It's a manga worth reading...it will definitely change you, your perception of love, of destiny, of life. I recommend it to anyone who wants something special, not only to yaoi-fans. Such a beautiful story it's something you seldom come across smile

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I just think that a lot of people find it getting old and approaching the age of an inevitably death to be quite sad, that's why one could call this manga sad or bitter-sweet. But actually, if you really think a bout it, it's a very happy story...not only did they ended up together but they also still loved each other after so many years...it really is a true love between them. The story is so beautiful and so unique, at least in this huge "sea" of yaoi stories and manga. I doubt it that anyone who read it will ever be able to forget it. Even though i'm a girl, this is the kind of love i strive for. :D

Stories that, for one reason or another, really stuck with me:

Illumination - the title story, plus the fourth story
Maiden Rose
Doushitemo Furetakunai
Koi Cha no Osahou
The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese
Innocent Bird

And for stuff more on the shounen-ai side:
Tokyo Babylon
Vassalord
Koori no Mamono no Monogatari
Loveless

And I can't speak for the manga, but the novel series and anime are both pretty memorable: Mirage of Blaze
