This makes me angry cuz some of the tokyopop series i stream, and most of them have gotten banned from being viewed through internet. But its good that most of these series are being licensed at the same time as bad =D

I agree. It's good that good manga is being licensed, but then the groups that were already scanlating them might drop them, and everyone will have to wait months for them to come out in their country. So it is good but bad at the same time. *sigh* I just hope that they get released faster. But some of my favorite manga are being licensed now.

This will probably get more people into anime/manga, considering that most of the population is completely oblivious to the scanlation community. But on the other side, me being a leecher, I am secretly dissapointed.

Venus Capriccio <333 I was hoping that that on would get liscensed ^.^ AND KAICHOU WA MAID-SAMA <3333333 That one was a surprise. Wasn't expecting that one to get liscensed, even though I love it to DEATH. Anyways, I hope neither of these series get dropped by the scanlation groups, but I'll be SURE to buy them when they're released 8D

i m happy princess princess+ finally got licensed and i can get my hands on otomen (since it's been dropped so long). but i m kinda angry at the thought of losing venus cappriccio and honey hunt (i kno the groups will definitely stop) and i can hope the publishers will release them quaterly or sooner but most likely they'll release twice a year (if we're lucky).

Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Venus Cappricio and Honey Hunt got licensed?! I'm pretty sure the scanlation groups will drop the series, but... I'm happy cause I can finally buy it. ^^;

Shoujo/Shounen Ai/Yaoi/manga adaptions of anime, a few shounen and like 1or 2 seinen, guess the american publishers realized that the current manga readers won't start to read mature series, bust instead stop reading manga. interesting read

Yay! I'm looking forward to 6 yaoi titles while other titles seem not up to my list, though. =)

woah, viz licensed Oishinbo? neat?

thread

» xKaidoh on July 9th, 2008, 10:53pm

Iono VIZ does a lot of crappy shit. Like for Koukou Tekken-den Tough, the released up til volume 6 then stopped dead. They also like to pick and choose what to release and what not to release. Like the above series, they cut out a bunch of chapters from the first volume.

well that's a bummer

OMG nooooo! so many good series are being licensed, specially honey hunt, please not honey hunt!! I mean I'm happy for the mangaka, but there is no way I'll be able to get the manga once they're out, I mean I think I could barely afford the shipping fees!

Interesting, the vast majority of this is Shoujo/Yaoi. Does that imply that the american manga market is, say 90-95% made up of females?

woah! Crimson cross is licensed?! Awesome!
I've checked the Junemanga website, it seems that the manga hasn't released yet.
Wonder when it will be released..? confused I'll definitely purchase it once it's OUT!!
