hmmm, it's more than five...but considering that i uh sorted them out from like, more than hundred, these definitely are my fav ones 😃

Love Hina - a classic, characters are extremely lovable
Midori no Hibi - hilarious and the romance is quite amazing toward the end
School Rumble - funny and cute
The Breaker - intense, very exciting, entertaining
Watashitachi no Tamura-kun - very heartwarming

Pandora Hearts - love the art, the confusing(ish) plot and tragedy of it is totally inviting, and the anime isn't bad either 😉
Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai - the totally unique plot and interesting personalities of every girl, plus the fact that the anime has some of my fave seiyuus, and that it's incredibly enjoyable
Tsubasa: Reservior Chronicle - the complicated plot w/ all of its plot twists, the memorable characters and awesome character development, and how the ending was totally believable and fitting
Durarara!! - actually, the anime is way better because the manga isn't finished yet, but the character development and how each person relates to the overall plot is amazing!
Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! - how the main character isn't really your generic shounen main character, and the cast and their (sometimes) hilarious personalities. plus, the character designs are awesome 😀
Kimi ni Todoke - the most innocent love ever, and I just love how cute they are together 😀
Kuroshitsuji - pretty unique plot, the art is amazing~, and everyone's little quirks are hilarious 😉
Claymore - the fact that the circumstances are a complete tragedy makes it just that good
Death Note - the memorable characters and psychological/strategical warfare was exactly what I liked
Naruto - even though the battles can get pretty pointless, its still quite good ;D

ahaha~, I couldn't choose 5. Anyways, top ten, mostly in order, its really hard to choose...

1. Nodame Cantabile - has everything I want in a story 😀
2. Ghost Hunt - I love the characters and each kind of episodic story (probably because I've always had a thing for paranormal phenomena)
3. Mushi-shi - so beautiful and I swear I'm in love with the protagonist
4. Immortal Rain - everything about it is so sweet yet disturbing.
5. Monster - the story freaks me out in a very good way 🙂

Battle Royale. A real masterpiece, engrossing from start to finish. Art is beautiful too.

Eden: It's an Endless World!. Completely sucked me into its world and had me hooked. Characters are fleshed out incredibly well, plot moves along in a way that makes you UNABLE to stop reading, and the philosophical points expressed are astoundingly deep.

GTO. Strikes the perfect balance between emotionally affecting drama and all-out comedy, with one of the best casts of characters in any manga.

Ichi the Killer. Incredibly violent, but also quite psychologically complex and very well-paced.

Love Hina. Absolutely love the characters, and the manga never failed to be both hilarious and poignant.
