[color=blue]Manga that lead to a binge read of a mangaka.[/color] - What are the mangas that lead to a marathon of reading that mangaka's other works. Errr in other words what manga was it you stumbled upon that made you have to check out the other works from that mangaka?

Some of them for me
Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou made me check out everything from SAKURADA Hina
Puzzle (MORIE Satoshi) is making me check out all of MORIE Satoshi works.
The oneshot - Jouzetsuna Yubi in Urahara to Dilemma for NAONO Bohra
The oneshot - Hyoutenka no Maria in Love & Sex for MINAMI Kanan
Midnight Secretary for OHMI Tomu
I believe Private Prince started my binge for ENJOUJI Maki ... not to sure on that one ...
Either Love Celeb or Kaikan Phrase for SHINJO Mayu

Sakurada Hina -- Bunbetsu to Takan, you can identify her storytelling by psychos.
Yoshizumi Wataru -- Cappuccino, light josei.
Yoshino Aki -- Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru, same as above.
Takagi Shigeyoshi -- Bitter Trap included here Hyakujuu Kingdom, nice shoujo
Yumeka Sumomo -- Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan, deep stories.
Mihara Mitsukazu -- Shigeshoushi, gothic style.
Kawachi Haruka -- Sekine-kun no Koi, emblematic as well.
Yamakawa Aiji -- Tomodachi no Hanashi, even though she only illustrated.

There are lots, but probably those were the most remarkable according to my brain.

Minekura Kazuya surprisingly, although I can't remember which one, it wasn't Saiyuki that I had known for much longer time that set me off reading her other manga...
Mizushiro Setona think it was Kuro Bara Alice, but not quite sure...

And many more, but really, if you don't keep a list, they tend to be easily forgotten once you read all the manga you can find. I usually go for the somewhat older styles though. Anything but those sparkly starry glittery school life, even if I do read a lot of shoujo mangas. Most the times, I go after the art lol. Sometimes if the story is really intriguing as well. But more than often, I come back empty handed as that was their only work/masterpiece.

For anime though, it's got to be Miyazaki Hayao. We had a number of VCDs that I watched since I was little.little.

20th Century Boys - URASAWA Naoki

Not only did reading 20th Century Boys make me read all his other work, it made him my favourite author. Hes actually the only one I've ever 'binge read' either, haha.

I have to say it was not any manga or mangaka that started a binge. it was an ample amount of time at work and just using this site to find series that sounds interesting. Even now I still follow the same principle, unless I find a manga that is also in LN form and it just happens to be long 😀 then i have to read it. High school DxD and Campione come to mind lol.

Any time I find a manga that I really like, I tend to look up what else they've done. Here are some that stand out.

Hot Gimmick by Aihara Miki, but nothing else was as good 😔

doujinshi:
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Gintama, and Tiger & Bunny: The Comic led me to binge on doujinshi for these series

Monster by URASAWA Naoki was the gateway drug that lead me to his other works. It felt like I was reading a novel or watching a movie; it was a true masterpiece. 20th Century Boys proved to me that Urasawa Naoki is a genius at his craft.

Reading those two series back to back really exhausted me; both are long and near impossible to put down. Despite being burnt out, I obliged myself to read 21st Century Boys.

I've yet to totally binge on the rest of his works, but I think that's understandable for anyone familiar with his works. It only takes a few chapters for it to turn from casual reading to an addiction.
