so basically i want a shounen manga that has a really well developed romance/ relationship thats really fleshed out. It doesnt have to be focused on romance as long as the relationship is really well done and detailed.

Inuyasha definitely. There is a lot of time spent on the romantic issues, while at the same time the main plot is developing.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles counts too, I think. It isn't so much about falling in love (so, not really "developing" romance) but their romance is crucial to the plot.

I don't think Toradora is a shounen, it's like romance comedy turned into a bit of drama. And Tsubasa fits perfectly at first glance but it's just strange like all Clamp works.
After a long time watching anime and reading manga i started to wonder if there any shounen manga that has a really well developed romance/ relationship at all? As any shounen manga|anime advance in to the right direction then *BANG* and it's already detoured into something else.
Offtopic, put i do know at last one anime that fits in - Eureka 7. But anime only, manga have different plot.

I second Inuyasha, although I think the later half of the series is TERRIBLY dragged out...

also, H2 or anything by Adachi Mitsuru, actually. His works are labeled shounen because they usually have a heavy baseball focus, but baseball is used as more of a plot device than a focus. Romance is heavy, but beware that the endings may seem inconclusive at times although careful reading should fix that smile

Toradora! is a shounen, it's not up to you to decide that, lol. And I second it, it's the best recent romance shounen out there.

From all the other bunch, I'll probably suggest also Mahoraba.

Cross Game ( I think) is his best work
(if you like his style you have also; Rough, Katsu!, Touch and H2)

Senjou no Valkyria (if only the anime was a faithful adaptation of the manga...)

Good Ending

Unbalance x 2

if you like Suzuka you've probably read/should try I"s also

Threads of Time

Green Boy

LovePlus: Rinko Days

Hatsukoi Limited from the mangaka of Ichigo 100%

Highschool of the Dead

Break Blade

Full Metal Panic! Σ

(Immortal Regis) and the sequel Cavalier of the Abyss (romance is more apparent/clear in the sequel)

Kidou Senshi Gundam UC: Bande Dessinee

GE - Good ending - At first I couldn't read this manga, it hit home soo hard that it was embarrassing to read(unrequited love, not wanting to be hurt, etc). Then I ran out of decent manga to read and decided to give it a go again.

Beck - this one focuses more on the band than romance, but the protagonist gets involved with a chick and they end up with a pretty developed romance.

Oh, sorry, my engrish made it sound wrong. Ofc, by genre Toradora! is a shounen, like "shounen" = "aimed for boys, generally", and Toradora is shounen romance comedy. But i meant it like "shounen focused mainly on fighting and stuff". And i thought that topic starter was looking for it - good shounen fighting(or something) focused with a good romance, not shounen romance. Or, i am wrong and over-thinking again?
And i also forgot to add "imo".
