i'm am so spoiled i can't just read average manga anymore. Hani-Kimi has spoiled shoujo for me and Let Dai has ruined all other shounen ai for even my yaoi has been tainted by the shadow of Totally Captivated 😔
I am in desperate need of a totally awesome manga that will captivate me and make me want to keep reading....something reaaally long at least 8 to 20 chapters...and yes i am already reading wallflower 🙂

Could you give some details about the characteristics you are want and don't want in a manga? And do they have to be shoujo, shounen-ai or yaoi?

Or you could just do a search for long manga threads or find those shounen-ai threads in the yaoi/yuri section that contain long shounen-ai recommendations.

It would be better if you made your lists public so we can see what genres you like and what you´ve already read...Because there are few series which are really famous (I guess that almost everyone knows them, like...for example Bleach or Nodame Cantabile...) and I don´t whether I should write them or you´ve already read them.... 🙂

I don't read a lot of shounen, seinen, shounen-ai or yaoi but I do read alot of shojo and josei. I have to agree with alot of same mangas that weronique mentioned.

Berserk So Awesome... So long. I made one of my buddies read this, one who was mainly a shoujo reader, and she couldn't put it down. 😀

Glass Mask and Skip Beat! are defiantly some of the best shoujo manga out there.

Also, Tokyo Crazy Paradise isn't very long, but its pretty awesome.

Nana - most awesome shoujo romance. It's quite popular and you might have read it. I am usually not a shoujo romance fan but like it
Gunslinger Girl - I would recommend it. Even if you are not an action/sci-fi fan, it will probably captivate you.
