Full Metal Panic!
"Bungaku Shoujo" to Shi ni Tagari no Douke
Watashi no Ookami-san and Dear
Gintama - Psh, everybody loves this XD
Kuroshitsuji - Bishi shinigami + art + story = Awesome
Luck Stealer
Neji to Lantern
Yuurei Ryokoudairiten Soul Mate Tourist
Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo - Tokikake - Anime. The manga was way too short.
Ann Cassandra
Bushin Gikyoku
The Maybes:
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Darkish humor, but really funny none of the less.
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro - Okay, the art is um....out there, but it grows on you. The plot is superb, so that makes up for the art. It's gory, so I don't know if you would like that. And it makes you think about personal stuff that one wouldn't normally think about everyday. Sooooooo, I'm only suggesting this since I personally loved it even though I'm a comedy, bishi, romance, shoujo maniac (Look at my lists @_@). After reading this and Elfen Lied, I fell in love with those kinds of stories so...yeah XD

Seconding Pandora Hearts. Although it is classified as shounen, it is without a doubt written for a primarily female audience. The art is gorgeous and the characters are primarily male and well-developed. There are no extended, drawn out shounen fights and ridiculous power-ups. There's drama and emotion and violence and creepy loveliness. Pandora Hearts may be called shounen, but it is anything but.
Likewise Nabari no Ou, which is published in the same magazine. It is classified as a shounen series, but there are no endless battles or power-ups; I'd be more likely to call it a tragic character-based drama with amazing development, solid story, and characters developed so well that I have hardly seen their equal in any other series.

Try the anime Cluster Edge if you don't mind sci-fi (it's a good one). All the main guys are bishounen and awesome. Manga is shoujo but the anime is more shounen but still trying to attract a girl audience.

Definitely check out Nurarihyon no Mago.
There's a bit of romance (you will love the interlude that shows how Rikuo's grandparents met) and the main female characters (Yuki Onna & Yura) are great (strong & interesting as characters). The waste-of-space female character (Kana) has had an increasingly small role as the series has gone on (and thank god, I though she was going to be the love interest in the beginning!)
