Alright mates, I shall heed advice from you to find other real masterpieces of historical (Lone Wolf & CUb) OR political (Sanctuary, Eden) OR drama (Living Game, Maison Ikkoku) OR simply unique (Holograph, Yokohama Shopping Trip, Yotsubato!) manga. Make sure to not make the same mistakes like other noobs who posts dupes of my reading list. So check my list BEFORE you give any suggestions. Thanks, I hope to find some really good suggestions.

My reading list: http://www.mangaupdates.com/mylist.html?id=8744&list=rea d

Emma for drama/historical
Hoshi no Koe
anything by Takahashi Tsutomu, in particular Jiraishin and the Skyhigh series
Rurouni Kenshin simply because it's not on your list and it seems like it should be
Eternal Sabbath for drama
Fuan no Tane for something unique (like Nijigahara Holograph, not Yostuba&!)

Most of the stuff true_grave_unit suggested is pretty good.

If u like Asano.... you could try Subarashii Sekai or Oyasumi PunPun.

Others I didn't notice on your list are Ai-Ren, Hatsukanezumi no Jikan, Milk Closet (weird), Hourou Musuko, Mugen no Juunin and Gunslinger Girl.

If you want some less-serious comedy, maybe Love Roma, Yuuhi Romance (1 volume),Chocolat or Rubbers 7.

Didn't notice Ciguatera either.

EDIT:
Harukana Machi-E is another manga I think any serious seinen lover must read.

Fuguruma Memories is a light seinen that I just finished.

you didnt read togari eek how could you? it so coool!!!!!

it s about a superevil guy that came from hell after 300 years.. (he's hot, evil, cute, killerlike "he is a serialkiller" and was 16 when executed) the devils wanted to get rid of him... poor him...... and dumped him on earth..... he always wanted to go back to earth... but he has to collect 108 toga's in 108 days.. (toga's are sins and crimes of people) he has to do it with the sword togari. the sword togari gets its power from evil and the more evil its wielder the stronger it is.. so its superstrong biggrin ... but the sword also eats the soul of its wielder... and if that aint bad enough ...... if he thinks about killing his neck starts bleeding and if he commits a sin.. his head will fall of... and do you now how much the world changes in 300 years? and the people in it??

hmm, that's too much to check out. Could you both reduce your suggestions to RECOMMENDATIONS? I dunno why, but do you seriously think a hardcore seinen reader like me who loves politics and history manga would actually like shaman king? please reduce your recommendations to 4-5 series that are actually not on my list (like I said in the first post).

edit: thanks to you I found a couple of series that I've read but werent on my reading list yet. so the list was updated.

Then your choice of a title for this thread is very missleading, as a person shouldnt clame to have read "everything" and yet not be wiling to read just about anything (like shoujo's and such). Also i refuse to shorten my list to only 5 series, just pick away at it and be wiling to give new things a try.
